City Council Meeting

Tuesday February 5, 2008

7:30 p.m.

The governing body of the City of Kirwin met Tuesday February 5, 2008 for the regular city council meeting.

Present: Mayor Robert Hoffman

Council members: present: Todd Lumpkin, Rhonda Gibson, Brenda Loyd, Linda Roth, June Eakin

City employee present: City Clerk Wanda Jameson

Visitors present: Robert Eakin

Mayor Hoffman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Lumpkin moved, Loyd seconded to approve the minutes of the January 3, 2008 meeting. Motion carried 5-0.

Bills were presented for payment.

Loyd moved, Lumpkin seconded to pay bills. Motion carried 5-0.

Directive to city clerk: Notify Attorney Harrison that his services are no longer needed.

Directive to Mayor Hoffman: Have conference with city attorney Richard Dietz on building clean up.

Directive to city clerk: Send a letter to Mr. Eddie Martin asking for proof of progress of repair of Blk D, Range 6, Lot 17, City of Kirwin.

Directive to city clerk: Inquire about progress of KDOT directive to Martin Salvage.

Directive to Mayor Hoffman: Accept and attend meeting with Pretty Prairie to discuss KDHE water issues.

Gibson moved, Eakin seconded to accept Kirwin Fire Department appointment of Rex Lowe as Chief of Kirwin Fire Department. Motion carried 5-0.

Eakin moved, Roth seconded to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0.

Meeting adjourned 8:45 p.m.
