Regular City Council Meeting

The governing body of the City of Kirwin met Tuesday, January 02, 2007 for the regular city council meeting.

Present: Mayor Robert Hoffman

Council members present: Todd Lumpkin, Brenda Loyd, Linda Roth

Council members absent: Tracy Atchison, Rhonda Gibson

City employee present: City Clerk Wanda Jameson

Visitors present: Betty Still

Mayor Hoffman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. 

Lumpkin moved, Roth seconded to approve the minutes of the December 2006 regular meeting.  Motion carried 3-0.

Loyd moved, Roth seconded to approve the bills for payment.  Motion carried 3-0.

Old Business

Loyd moved, Lumpkin seconded to use Nex-Tech internet connection for the City Hall. Motion carried 3-0.

Ordinance 227 An Ordinance granting to Nex-Tech, INC., A Kansas Corporation, Wireless Internet Services Franchise. 

Lumpkin moved, Loyd seconded. Motion carried 3-0.

Directive to City Clerk: write a letter to Virgil Henry to resume work on lots.

Directive to City Superintendent: replace locks on the west Quonset entrance doors and check maintenance schedule for power plant.

New Business

Loyd moved Roth seconded to adjourn meeting.

Meeting adjourned 8:07
